The Indian Debating Union - Valerie Rozycki Wagoner - Praveen ChunduruThe Indian Debating Union was founded in Mumbai in 2009, and has since rapidly expanded into a popular international debating and thought leadership forum. As of early 2017, over 1.6 million people have viewed IDU content in over 30 countries around the world.

The IDU’s largest content viewership is today in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as India, along with  a growing following in Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East – all crucial drivers of a new world economy.

India itself is the world’s largest free market economy by population, and is expected by economists to once again become the world’s largest economy in terms of GDP in the coming decades. The global Indian Diaspora is also one of the most successful and socially active communities in the world, and has been active an active consumer of IDU content in many countries around the world.

With the above focus on India and global Indian audiences, coupled with its rapidly increasing focus on international audiences, the IDU presents one of the most considered and effective ways of reaching out to large – potentially vast – local and international audiences.

As a not-for-profit organisation, the IDU does not seek any support from ordinary members of the public, nor from governments or charities. It also provides all of its content free of charge. Due to the high and consistent quality of its efforts and its significant and rapidly growing market reach, the IDU has attracted some of the world’s largest media and business brands to support or partner with it in various ways.
